Question
well, I have a question and a story all at the same time. I have found myself in a bad situation, due to my own negligence. I was in a collision, and i don't have insurance on the car. it is a 2002 porsche boxster, 42,000 miles on it.  I know you can not give estimates. I would like to state some of the damages and see if you can let me know if they can be repaired. the frame is badly bent on the driver's side and also the passenger's side. the right rear axle is hanging off of the car(it is still connected but it is badly bent. the convertible top is a soft top, and it is also bent in one spot. the front of the car is mainly intact. can you let me know if these things can be repaired, and if so..could the car be restored to its original condition?...I know I'm an idiot for letting the insurance policy expire...

Answer
Lee, it sounds REALLY  bad. It's a convertible unibody and it needs the very best, most competently repaired unibody repair job. That takes time and money. I would guess the damage to be no less that 7500 dollars to repar, perhaps even beyond the 10,000 mark. It's totaled, even before your insurance ran out. BIll
