Question
Hi Gary I'm building a classic race bike & would like to build a replica race fuel tank I have some fiberglass experience but am unsure of the procedure to join the bass to the top without material failure perhaps you could recomend an aproproate material as well hope you can help

Answer
Hi Fred,

The following response I am assuming that since you say replica it will be a dummy tank with no fuel involved. There are several products on the market that will bond fiberglass to fiberglass. I would suggest something like FE 991, SMC Panel Adhesive. It can be used on both Sheet Molded Composite and traditional Polyester Fiberglass. Here is a link to a company where you can buy it: http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd_smc.cfm
