Regards Brian

Answer
Hi Brian,

Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. A good eye. Look for any differences in color match. Even the slightest difference in gloss level or metallic grade.  This may tell you the vehicle has been painted on. Which may tell you if body work has been done. You can also use a magnet. With a magnet you can tell if plastic body filler has been used or not. A magnet won't stick over plastic body filler unless it's very thin. Use on areas above the wheel wells, quarter panels, doors, or any other places you may be suspicious of.
