Auto body repair & detailing/ABS plastic scoops

Question
hello again, another project I was considering was taking 2 hood scoops made out of ABS plastic and molding them together. What would you use to do this? Fiberglass/resin, etc.  Thanks a lot for your time.

Answer
Hi Michael,

I doubt that polyester fiberglass resin will stick very well to the ABS without doing something to prep it. I'd say you will probably need a special adhesive/filler to do the job. A couple of companies to look at would be 3M or Fiberglass Evercoat. Both carry great products for the auto body trade. 3M 05895 is a great product that I have used before and if I remember correctly it will work for ABS.
