Question

Rt side acid damage
Pitted spots exist on the metallic silver painted surface from acid sprinkled by a vandal. There is no rust yet but the gel cote is marred. Can these be rubbed out and touched up assuming we can get the same color paint? Damage exists along the passenger side with a few drops on the hood. We appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

Answer
Wet sand with 2000 grit sand paper, compound and polish. You may want to call your insurance co. to turn in a claim. If the damage is deep, you go through the clear and have to refinish the damaged area.
Matching paint is a little easier these days, any shop that tells you they cannot make your truck look like new shouldn't be in business.
