Question
Hey bud. I am going to paint my Harley. It is black with a coat of clear on it. It has a Harley decal on the tank that I will want to remove. (it is under the clear) How should I prep the tank and 2 fenders for repaint. I don't even have a color picked out yet. is there a water based paint I can use? or what would you suggest for the paint. I also want to put a few coats of clear on. I have a paint both I can use. any help from start to finish would be a great help.........thanks

Answer
Go to your auto body supply store, they should have a book for beginners that will tell you the basics. There is a lot more to this then just sanding and painting.
I get $1000.00 to $1200.00 for a tank and two fenders one color and the Harley stripe, but that's high end show quality, I wouldn't do it any other way.
