sorry i gave you the wrong e-mail earlier-s o ill have to ask again--how do i fix an outside mirror on a 1989 chevy cavalier coupe? its hanging on -must have got bumped in a parking lot. do i start  with the small interior panel in back of the mirror? i need your help

Go to car-part.com for a used part or rockauto.com for new one. You may have to remove the whole trim panel to access the wire harness. The little piece on top might give you access to the nuts that hold the mirror on, they both come off fairly easy. Look for screws in the armrest area and under the switch plate.
