Question
ok im going to replace the quarter panels on my 72 mustang,i got the quarter skins not the full panel, my question is how do i cut the old ones out? like at the tailight panel and doors, do i just cut around them and leave a little of the original panel or do i need to get it all off

Answer
Hi Clint,

You might check out this link. This guy goes into detail about how to replace a quarter panel. http://buickperformance.com/qtr.htm

My personal opinion is to replace as much of the quarter as possible. I would leave a little of the original panel so you have something to spot weld or glue to. I hope this helps.
