Question
the lower hinge pin was seized for years, causing damage to door innerframe/support. lower hinge is loose in door, rivets were replaced, metal frame seems fatigued, any help is appreciated thanks , bill

Answer
About the only thing I can suggest with out actually seeing the damage, is to take the door off and reinforce the door frame from the inside, so it does not show. The pillar may have to be cut apart to reinforce that part. This all basic simple restoration work for someone who is use to working on old cars. Quite often, we have to build or modify a worn or bad part to make it work. Don't be afraid to tear into it, just take your time and weld this stuff up right. Fit everything together before you weld though, get all your parts close, tack weld or screw them together, then take it back apart and finish your welding.
