Question
I own a 1999 BMW 323I E46 My armrest is fading out.  The leather is getting rough and changing colors.  I would guess from sweat. Is there any means of repairing this problem or do I need to get a new armrest? Thanks in advance for any input you can give me....Cleat....

Answer
Hi Cleat,

SEM Company now makes a Leather Dye that you can get in a aerosol spray-can. You can check out this Technical Data Sheet from the manufacturer's site: http://www.sem.ws/tech_sheet/Classic%20Coat%20TDS.pdf

After it has dried good you can use a leather conditioner to help soften the leather back up. This site has a product called leather lotion. You might want to take a look at it: http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd_leather_lotion_16oz.cfm

I hope this helps.
