I haven't seen the car yet but I think I'll only need to replace the rear bumper cover on my brother's car(1997 Nissan Altima). I ordered a new one online and expect to have it before this weekend when I plan to install it. I've never changed one before so can you tell me anything that a "newbie" will need to know before I attempt this......like special tools or related parts that I will or may need to replace also? The only special tools you might need would be a trim removal tool that you can pick up cheap at most auto parts store or a body shop supply store. The job is fairly simple. Lift the trunk mat, you should see four caps at the rear of the trunk, pop them off and you should see four bolts that hold the assembly on, the rest is simple.
