i have some  light scratches on my car and i was wondering whether you know of anything that i  can buy to fix the scratches without going to the auto repair shop that cost too much thanks

As seen on TV stuff you see in commercials might work, I don't know, never tried the stuff. I use a 3M brand of polishing compound with a buffer that works fairly well but it would be a lot of work by hand. Take your car to a detail shop and ask if they can get your scratches out, that would be the cheap way. Next would be a body shop.
