Hi there, now I have no experience in auto body, so, could you explain to me how to go about fixing the wide rust hole around my driver rear passenger side, the the car was bonddoed before I got it, 3 years ago,eh.The rust hole goes right around the rear fender to the bottom of the door, how should I start this project?

Hi Paul,

To fix it correctly you will need to cut out all the rusty metal and find a patch panel to fit back into the area that you have cut out. Sounds like you will need a quarter panel and a rocker panel. This quite an extensive repair for someone with no prior auto body experience. I would consider taking it to a body shop or find someone who can give you pointers as you progress into the job.
