Question
Can not close the sliding door anymore. Suspect problems with the latch assembly. Any help?

Answer
Look at the latch at the back of the door. You will probably find the area around the latch bent in. Slamming the door when it is out of align will cause this. Pull the latch out and reshape the area where it mounts. Adjust the door to fit and close right before you install the latch, so you won't bend it again.
This is not an easy job, maybe one for a body shop.

Comment	Great. Thanks. However by the time I've got the response I'd figured out the problem myswelf. Had no choice since my wife needed the car. It was not the bent door this time but the latch itself that got stuck in the lock position. WD40 helped to push it back into the normal position.
