Auto body repair & detailing/Fiberlass health issues?

Question
I'm using fiberglass thin matting for sculpture, hardening it with polyurethane glue (Elmer's Ultimate glue). Is there possible lung danger from cutting the unhardened fiberglass matting with a scissors? How about from cutting the hardened fiberglass with a shears or mat (utility) knife, or a hack saw?  When sanding, I take the sculpture outside and use a safety mask, but I could also do that with the other tasks listed above.
Thanks much.

Answer
I am not a health expert but I think what you are doing is fine and safe. I've been doing this for close to forty years plus smoke about three packs a day, according to the health experts, I should be dead. I still play golf almost every day and beat on these cars seven days a week.
