Auto body repair & detailing/roof hail damage

Question
Hey!
I have a 2006 Mazda 3 that was attacked by hail that was bigger than a quarter, but smaller than a half dollar.  I now have 9 or 10 dings of various sizes on the roof of the car, as well as 4 dings in the hood.  I have filed a claim with my insurance company and am going to have it looked at.  My question is do they have ways of repairing that kind of damage, or is the car generally totaled out?

Answer
Hi Heather,

They have a procedure that is called paintless dent repair that when done by a skilled professional will bring your car back to original condition. I say skilled professional because there are many chop artist out there that may have knowledge at how to go about the procedure but they may not have the practice or the knack for doing the job correctly. I would look for someone who has been doing paintless dent repair for at least 5 years or who has visual proof of their work. I hope this helps.
