Hi... I have a 80 chevelle to paint , the car was stripped and is down to the metal, I Have Some PPg Lacquer I want to use, My question is WHAT kind of Primer should I use??? I cannot seem to get 2 people to agree on this!!  Lacquer,Epoxy. Urethane, 2K, I cannot get the good lacquer primer no more, so I have ruled that out!! Please Help!!!

They took the lead out of lacquer about twenty five years ago, I would not paint a dog house with what they call acrylic lacquer these days. Dupont quit making it about five years ago, it will not hold up. Use the urethane, two part primer and paint if you want it to last.
