Question

I've got a couple of small areas where the paint has flaked off near the "ultramatic" emblem on my 1951 Packard 200. The rust was very slight under the bubbles.

Initially, I touched up the area with "rust reformer" and I was going to paint it with black fingernail polish. However, I think that it's worth the effort to remove the emblem and do a more complete repair.

Can you give me some guidance on how to proceed?

The materials I use may differ from what's available in your area, go to your auto body supply store and tell them what oyu are doing, they should be able to help. Ask if they have an auto body step by step guide. I could be here all day trying to explain what you need to do.
