Auto body repair & detailing/only one car damaged???

Question
I am taking the dishonest person to court who dinged my car. Because this grandma agreed to pay for the repair, I didn't call the police. Now she says she didn't do it because she has no damage. I know for a fact she did because I was sitting in my car. I will have to explain to a judge why she did not incur damage to her door tip. Can you please help? I am out almost $700.00. I can't afford to lose.

My damage was the usual ding circle and my clear coat was chipped. No paint exchanged surfaces. All I know about her car was it was a new four door sedan.

I am really sorry to bother you, but I am alone in this.

Debbie

Answer
you should have made a police report. I don't dell out legal advice- all I can say is, the judge will make a decision based upon the preponderence of the evidence. You wouldn't take a random person to court, and judges have a way of wriggling the truth out of people. Next time, don't trust a stranger with promises of paying you money. Get it in writing. Bill
