Question
Can I apply more coats of acrylic enamel paint over a recent paint job (two weeks old) if I scuff the whole surface with a gray Scotch pad? The more I look at the paint job the less satisfied I am with it.

Answer
Hi Rich,

Acrylic Enamel has a recoat sensitivity window of 3 hours up to 4 days later. In between that time frame it cannot be recoated with anything, not even itself. So if the finish is 2 weeks old you should be fine to go ahead and scuff it with a scotch-brite pad and repaint.
