Question
I just bought a 1988 jaguar xjr and it had a stream of what i believe to been water. when i washed it off the clear coat came off with it, a "stream" from the wiper to the end of the hood. this left this "stream" exposed and not glossy so its unsightly. how do i repair this without going to a dealer and what products do you recommend? Thank you

Answer
Hi Zack,

If the clear-coat has come off it will need to be repainted completely for it to look right. I guess you could use a spraycan clear-coat to reclear the area where the clear has come off but it won't look good and probably is not going to hold up very well. Good luck with it.
