Question
GARY,I have a 91 chevy astro van that the entire hood and top has lost its clear coat and faded, the sides and rear doors still have their shine. The vehicle has 100,000 miles on it and still runs excellent,I would like to fix the paint ,CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO DO IT MYSELF-----THANK YOU----TONY

Answer
Hi Tony,

First of all you will need to have all the appropriate tools to do the job. You will need such tools as an air compressor (5 hp, 60 gal capacity, 15 cfm @ 40 psi), spraygun, hoses, fittings, etc... Then you will need to go to an automotive paint store and buy paint. You can talk to the salesmen about your specific needs and they should be able to point you in the right direction as to what type of paint would best fit your needs. Good luck.
