Question
i just fixed rear quter now how to paint and clear with out a tape line  please explain

Answer
It's pretty simple don- you have to paint the entire quarter. If there is nowhere to break it of where the quarter meets the roof     (that area is called the sail panel- it sort of has the shape of a sailboat sail) then you have to blend out the clear there. Mask off the roof, but make a sort of a tent over the sail panel as high up as possible. A better explanation might be is you are taping a loop of paper over the sail panel that doesn't touch it. This will allow clear under the tent, but not allow clear to overspray the entire roof. Simply start spraying, don't blow directly onto the loop or it will collapse and hit the fresh paint leaving a line or worse. Try to not directly blow paint under the loop- spray about 3-5 inches below it if at all possible.  RIGHT after you get done spraying, rip open the loop, and lightly melt the fuzzy edge of the clear with some blending clear or paint thinner. After the paint dries overnight, you will have to rub the sail panel blend with rubbing compound to finish hiding the blend. On your first attempt, don't expect perfect results, and don't get carried away when you spray on the blending clear or thinner. It's much more runny than clear, and will make a mess if you don't just fog it lightly. BIll
