Question
I had an accident in Aug 2008 impact was on the right front $8000 damage, insurance decided to repair rather than total.  Shop had my car for over two months because they were unable to get it to align properly.  Finally picked car up in October, alignment is all off and is pulling to right side, and bearings are bad now 2 months later I believe unibody is bent, insurance company says this is not related to accident!!  Please help

Answer
Jennifer-

Unfortunately you have the burden of proof to show the insurance company that it is related. If I were you I would take it in to a rsponsible mechanic shop to have the problem diagnosed. Supply a copy of the alignment specs that you should have received when the repairs were complete. If you don't have a copy get one from the body shop, they will have it. As long as the mechanic can prove that the damage is related to the accident and/or faulty repairs, the insurer should pay for your diagnosis. If not, guess what? You have to pay. As long as the alignment specs are the same today as when you picked up the car in October, you should be fine. Good Luck!!!
