Question

rear door and quarter
Is filler viable way to repair a minor dent in a rear quarter panel and door? Two
shops I brought the vehicle to wanted $2600 and $1600 to repair. They wanted
to replace the door and quarter panel or just re-skin it. A third shop said they
could straighten the dents out and fill in with bondo and make it look like new
for only $350. Is the third shop a viable way to repair the car?

Answer
Hi Dan,

350 bucks sounds way too cheap to fix this type of damage. Usually it's not a good idea to use a thick build of filler on the door edge and quarter, because slamming the door could cause the filler to crack and pop loose. With that said, I believe you should go with a reputable shop that has been in business for many years. Typically, they want your business for the future so they do good work at reasonable prices.
