Auto body repair & detailing - cracked body kit

Expert: Michael Kakuk - 10/12/2009

Question
I have a 97 Nissan Altima GXE with a molded body kit on it. I have over time cracked the body kit in a few places mostly in the fenders. I was wondering how to fix the cracks or atleast stablize them.

Answer
ELI..... I AM GOING TO ASSUME THAT THE IT IS FIBERGLASS?? IF SO YOU CAN REMOVE THE KIT AND REPAIR USING ANY FIBERGLASS REPAIR KIT FOUND IN THE LOCAL AUTO SUPPLY STORES.

AS FAR AS FIXING THE CRACKS YOU HAVE TO SAND THEM DOWN AND FILL WITH THE REPAIR KIT AND THEN TOPCOAT WITH FILLER.FOR MORE INFORMATION THE REPAIR PROCESS AND INSURANCE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VISIT
