Question i was backing out into my garage and i hit my radio and in the my side mirror cracked and not all the way around. how do i fix this problem? do i have to go to a garage and fix it or can i do it myself? i have a 2001 Toyota camary.
Answer KAREN......I WOULD SEE A BODY SHOP AS THERE MAY BE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR FRAME WHERE THE MIRROR BOLTS UP.THAT IS WHAT TYPICALLY OCCURS TO TOYOTA'S.
THE BODY SHOP WILL MOST LIKLY HAVE TO REMOVE THE DOOR TRIM PANEL FOR ACCESS TO THE BOLTS.
IT WOULD BE COST EFFECTIVE TO LOCATE A MIRROR FROM A SALVAGE COMPANY...ASK THE SHOP.
WITH TOYOTA IT IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO GET THE CORRECT MIRROR AS IT DEPENDS ON THE PRODUCTION DATE AND PLACE OF MANUFACTURER.
