Will the bedsides off of a 79 f250 fit on an 86 floor assembly?

Roy,    I don,t know. Have never done this.But if it was my job to do i would start by measuring and looking at the attaching points where welded to the inner box sides and floor .thats a lot of cutting/welding with a lot of future rust problems.Better to replace entire bed and make new mounting crossmembers at points of mounting chassis to bed floor, by using square tubing and weld to bed floor, this i have done.
