Question
How much 2 stage paint will I need to paint the Body and Pan of my classic Volkswagen? I also want to use Rust Bullet on the Body and Pan, the web site says that 1 gallon will cover 200 square feet, will this be enough to cover the Body and Pan?

Answer
I think it's going to be cutting it close- you surely have door, trunk, and engine jambs to paint and clear- I would figure at least 3 quarts of color (4 if it's red, orange, or yellow- if it's red orange or yellow, I suggest laying down a coat of white base coat or white sealer- this will help tremendously with hiding, and save you around 3 or 4 extra coats of basecoat to achieve hiding. This is all assuming you are using an HVLP gun- if you're using a standard gun, it will take 25-50% more paint and clear.
