Question
i have a 85 iroc z28 the front clip paint is cracking on the plastic around the head lights and how can i repair this can i just sand it or is the a better way to do it the plastic looks good but paint is peeling up like spider webs thks

Answer
Mike, ther is no easy fix here- it just plain needs the paint sanded off to bare plastic. It's going to be a task, I used to have an 85 burlinetta and had to do the same thing- I tried plastic-safe paint stripper, and the stripper still went after the plastic, and swelled it all to hell. One option is to replace the cover with a new aftermarket cover. more expensive by far, but will save a lot of elbow grease. Bill
