Question
I have a 2" crack in my 2000 cougar front bumper cover, besides some scratches.  I heard it makes a difference what kind of plastic the cover is made of as to the method of repair.  Any insight would be helpful.  Thanks.

Answer
Yes, but most bumper plastics REQUIRE THE SAME REPAIR METHOD. Whoops! caps lock. Anyhow, in a nutshell; the cover needs removed, the crack repaired from the back side and backed with repair compound and fiberglass mesh. Then the crack needs heavily coved on the front side and filled with repair compound. Bill
