Question
I would like a recommendation for a car wax. I just bought a new 09 chevy cobalt and water the chevy dealership used was wonderful. They detailed it before i drove it off the lot and the smell was great. Do you have any idea what they use? Can i go to a website and buy the same products. I have used numerous waxes and spray on previous vehicles, (over the counter) but the smell to this detail spray they used was so wonderful. Thanks

Answer
Pat,

I am sorry I do not know what the Chevy dealer used. You would have to ask them.

As for a recommendation for a wax to buy. www.collinite.com. I use the insulator wax. If you google it you should be able to buy it off the web. It should cost you about $15.00 plus shipping and handling. I have been using it for about 5 years.

The protection it gives is unbelievable. I can get at least 6 months of protection on my own cars. I usually hand wash the cars with regular carwash soap. No particular brand.

Remember, if you are going to wax your car make sure you polish/clean it after you wash it, This step will remove dirt from the paint. Then apply the wax. Not a lot. Let it dry to a haze and remove with a microfiber towel.

I hope this helps.
