Question
I believe we have corresponded before. My paint job on my pickup turned out very well. Now I am restoring a vintage tractor. My question what is the best way to  strip paint down to bare metal. What i the best chemical stripper. The paint is original Ford Blue circa 1971. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Blaine-

I always recommend media blasting for anyone that wants to strip paint, however- I am in no way an expert on these types of finishes.I don't know anything about the construction of vintage tractors. Please proceed with caution and if you use chemical stripper, most shops use aircraft stripper. Good Luck and thanks for the repeat business!!! Mark
