Question
Have a black car. Someone opened their door and scuffed the side fender. Looks like it is white scuff marks but the car that did it was red. There is also some red showing also. Would I be able to use polishing compound to remove the white scuff marks?

Answer
Hi Bob, The scuff marks is possibly the clearcoat on your paint. It sounds to me like you can polish out the marks quite easily..Use a good polishing compound.  3M,and Mcquires both have good products for you to use.Hope this answers your question and let me know how you make out...Thanks ...Kim
