Question
Which is better, welding or adhesive?

Answer
Hi Larry, The best way to go is to weld the quarter panel on. I also recommend using a mig welder to do this job. If you are doing this job yourself make sure you door and trunk gaps are aligned and keep checking this after every weld. Another factor to take into consideration is that the car must be supported on the suspension and not the frame. Before welding be sure that all surfaces to be welded are cleaned to the bare steel, also prime with a weld through primer prior to welding...Protect the glass and interior of the car.Hope this helps and that I have answered some of the questions that you are wondering about. Support and block your car-safety is always a factor when removing and replacing auto panels....Fire- fuel tanks etc.
