Question
I have a 1976 monte carlo. I would like to replace one of my rear quarter panels. From looking at the car it would appear that the rear quarter panels and the roof are one solid peace. I went on ebay and there were plenty of rear quarter panels for my car and they were all cut off in the same spot. Does this mean i would have to cut out the old panel in the right spot and weld the new one in or is there some hidden seem that i am not seeing?

Answer
Hi Josh, The factory 1/4 panels were installed on the sail panel- where the roof and the 1/4 panel meet. You can install the 1/4 panel at the original seam or you can come down lower and create your own seam.... Keep in mind that this is not a job for the novice as there is alot involved to do the job proper. You can save by doing alot of the preparation work yourself---- removal of trim mouldings- interior seat-panels etc.......Hope this helps you out and all the best to you........Kim
