Auto body repair & detailing/Auto-Body repair paint question

Question
Hi Kim:  About 3 weeks ago I had a dent removed on the
bumper of my Infiniti G35 coupe.  They auto body shop then
repainted the bumper and it looked great upon pickup.
However, I've driven about 500 miles in the past 3 weeks
and have begun to notice small circular dings on my front
bumper where debris or rocks may have hit it from the road.
The paint is fully chipped off in those areas.  Having had
the car for 3 years prior with minimal dings or paint
damage, my thought is that the auto body shop did not
repaint the bumper with the proper paint or sealant to
prevent this from happening.  What should I do in this
scenario?  Do I go back to he auto body shop and have them
repair/repaint it?"

Answer
Hi Jessica, Yes -take the car back to the repair facility and have them take a look at it. All paints will chip if impacted by rocks and debree. You can also ask them about installing a clear plastic film over the high impact areas for added protection.....Hope this helps and all the best to you...........Kim
