Question
Hi, I just purchased a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and my question is, what is the simplest way to paint the bottom plastic part on the sides? It's becoming faded, so should I remove the plastic to paint it or leave it on and what type of paint should I use?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Andrew
Then simplest way is to do a color change to a matt black.  You can prep the paint that is already on the parts with a P600 grit sand paper. The paint you will be able to get at your Automotive supply dealer....If you want the original color there is alot more involved such as the proper equipment to spray the base coat and then the clearcoat. The color match spray boms may work as well for you but do not be surprised if the paint will not match. You can spray the parts on or off but you will have to mask off everything that you do not want to overspray... I hope this helps you out and best of luck with your paint job....Kim
