Auto body repair & detailing/Touch up paint

I scraped the side of a painted pole with the side mirror of my car. The only damage is some bright yellow paint left behind. Is there something I could use to remove it or should I just go over it with some touch up paint?

Hi Sherra,

Fingernail polish that contains acetone should remove it quite nicely. Or alternatively, you can use a paint correction towel. They are very easy to use and are designed for removing scuff marks, overspray, bug splatters, and even rail dust. Here's a link where you can find more information:

I can answer most questions on auto refinishing materials. Especially PPG products. I have knowledge in the latest repair materials and techniques. When it comes to automotive paint I have a solid understanding of how things work.

I have worked in a PPG paint retail/wholesale business for the last 15 years. I have dealt with many issues regarding paint and repair materials on a daily basis over the years. I don't know that I have all the answers but I would be willing to try.
