Auto body repair & detailing - Primer/Paint

Expert: Kim Smith - 5/20/2009

Question
does the color of the primer used affect the shade or gloss of the topcoat?

Answer
Hi Kirk,, Yes the primer color can make a difference. Try and use a darker primer for dark colors, If you use a lighter primer and unsure if the color will be right go with a sealer before painting . Sealers come in different shades.......Hope this helps with your painting.......Kim
