Auto body repair & detailing - 74 vett paint

Expert: DANIEL GARDENER - 6/2/2009

Question
Hi
I have a 74 vet and there are several spots where the paint is "flakey" and rough.
Is there any way to take care of this? If so what and how would you reccomend
doing it?

Answer
HEY HOLLY
WITH YOUR USE OF THE TERM FLAKEY,IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH ITS NOT ORIGINAL PAINT.YOU COULD TRY TO CUT POLISH IT TO MINIMIZE THE VISUAL EFFECT, BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT NEEDS TO BE REPAINTED. IF YOU DECIDE TO GO THAT ROUTE,KEEP ME IN THE LOOP AND I"LL ADVISE YOU ALONG THE WAY
THANKS FOR THE QUESTION. I HOPE IT'S HELPFUL.
DAN
