Question
hi
i own a 94 nissan altima.
brought it to a friend and he told me the whole frame is
rusted and rotten. now it was making this awful squeaking
sound as if someone was jumping up and down on the trunk
this is just driving it..it does it if you coast -gas-brake- so i havent driven it all week ..is this worth
trying to fix ? and how much do you think im looking at
trying to see if im better off to junk it- thanks

any rust is a major problem. sounds like something has let go in the suspension. rust will attack all brakelines and could result in a brake system failure. if you press very, very hard on brakes  with two feet and they stay hard  maybe the car can stay on the road after noise is repaired.  if it fails break test JUNK it.
