My driver side door stopped opening from the inside.I can open it from the outside just fine. what is the problem.

  this sounds like the release rod has disconnected from the ;inside handle or the lock mechinisem. there is a clip that holds the rod on  at each end[plastic] that breaks, or the end of the handle breaks off.first remove small cover at inside handle, work handle to see if you can spot rod movement,if rod moves door panel must come off ,water shield needs to be pulled away slowly, do not rip, heat gun helps.with a flash light look inside and pull inside handle and watch rod movement it belongs in the hole with the broken plastic clip  [yellow or maybe pink] clips can be gotten at auto parts store  HELPS package.     HTH Bill
