2005 gmc stepside,color,white..need to replace the fender on the box of my pickup. does it just bolt on and does it need to be painted? looks to be colored plastic..can i do it in driveway? thanks for your help...

Jeremy......call the dealer and ask the parts dept if the rear fender comes painted...if not ask them for a price to paint it.They will forward you to the body shop if they have one.

You can get a clearer explanation than I can give you as far as the installation.

Some are riveted on,bolted on or glued on. Ask the body shop as they should be willing to assist you in getting the correct answer.

If I had to guess and I am.....the fender would have to be painted for you.
