hi i have ford xc coupe that has rust in the roof gutter channel
one side is still solid but the other side has 2 splits that are right throu, i was thinking about lead filling the channel but im concerned it might not stick becouse iv never tryed any thing like this before, and would i have to clean all the rust out of the channel or a bit wount matter

Clean the infected area with some strong citric acid,or a rust converter(12 oz. bottles are
available at your local wal-mart.If your leary of the lead,as even I would be. You could mix up
abit of fiberglass resin and apply it liberally down that channel.
the resin will adhears rather well to the clean metal.
