Question
I have the replacement mirror (whole assembly). Popped off the inside door panel. Can see the vapor barrier still intact, however do not see any access to the mirror mounting bolts, seems to be a lip in the way %26 what appears to be the power window drive assembly bolted to the inside face of the door panel. I can not find any help/instructions on how to get to the mounting bolts on the inside of the passenger door I do not want to disrupt the window track or mechanism...please provide me with some assistance.

Answer
STEVE....A FEW OPTIONS TO TRY.....POWER THE WINDOW DOWN TO SEE IF THAT GIVES YOU THE ACCESS THAT YOU NEED. BEHIND THE MIRROR ON THE INSIDE THERE MAY BE A TRIANGLE SHAPED TRIM THAT HAS TO BE POPPED OFF TO GIVE YOU ACCESS.I DON'T RECALL HAVING TO REMOVE THE POWER UNITS FOR ACCESS.

PULL BACK THE VAPOR BARRIER AND USE A LIGHT AND A SMALL MIRROR TO SEE MOUNTING LOCATIONS.

IF NONE OF THE ABOVE WORK GIVE YOUR LOCAL GM BODYSHOP A CALL AND ASK A BODY TECH.

GOODLUCK
