Question
Sir: What is the best way to repair (remove) some superficial scratches on my rear door. I don't know how it happened but it could be scratches from bushes that I brushed past without knowing. It seems I read of some product sold that will do this task without removing or altering the underlying paint.
Carl

Answer
CARL.....THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO USE RUBBING COMPOUND FOLLOWED BY WAX.
RUBBING COMPOUNDS COME IS LIT,MED,AND HEAVY.
YOU SHOULD USE THE LIGHT OR MEDIUM FIRST THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE MEDIUM WILL CUT FASTER AS IT IS MORE ABRASIVE THAN THE LIGHT.

IF THE AREA IS RELATIVELY SMALL I WOULD USE THE LIGHT.
