Question
Hi Michael,

I'm planning to have my Corolla '94 painted. (it still has the original paint). What should I look at in order to make sure the new paint and the job are top quality? Thanks in advance,

Sincerely,

Rick

Answer
RICK THAT ALL DEPENDS ON THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR A JOB.
THE MORE MONEY THE BETTER MATERIALS ARE USED.
ASK THE SHOP HOW THEY ARE GOING TO PREPARE THE JOB AND WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO REMOVE PRIOR TO PAINTING. WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE.

THERE SHOULD BE MINIMAL DIRT NIBS IN THE FINAL PAINT AND THEY CAN BE BUFFED DOWN.
THERE SHOULD BE NO DRY LOOKING AREAS. ASK IF THE SHOP WILL BE USING BASE COAT CLEAR COAT PAINT.
