Question

Son and his 1965 musta
Need help Repairing molded on rear fiberglass fender flares on a 65 Mustang. My son hit a pothole and sent his tire into the flare. It peeled the  flare off the front attachment area. It looks to have been riveted on prior to molding and bondo-ing it in. What is going to be the procedure to properly fix this. looks like the flare is ok, it looks to have been peeled rather than broken off at the front. I have heard that you should reattach with some sort of Marine adhesive. Any help would be much appreciated, and as you guessed money for this is not really in the budget....thanks...Mo in Clovis, CA

nice car.....sounds like you have the pieces needed but need an answer on how to re atatch to car.

Depending on how much surface areas there is i have seen shops use liquid nail glue. Come in tubes or for use in caulking guns.

The only problem with that is having to remove at a later date for future repairs/paint.It is strong stuff.

Still could be removed and any damages repaired at that time.
