Question
Hi there and I hope this question finds you well. I own a 2007 Toyota Prius. I accidentally ran over a curb in a parking lot (not the result of a sticky accelerator <smile>) and it left a nasty series of scratches across the bottom of a plastic lip that is just below the bumper. I wanted to know if you could give me some tips on how to touch this up so the scratches are not seen. The color of the lip is the standard charcoal color. Anything you can tell me would be most helpful. Thanks!

Answer
THE QUICK ANSWER IS THAT THERE ISN'T REALLY ANYTHING THAT I"M AWARE OF THAT REPAIRS TEXTURED PLASTIC.  IF TE LOWER PART HAS A SMOOTH SURFACE A FILLER MATERIAL WOULD HAVE TO BE USED AND FINISHED OFF.IF IT ATTACHES TO THE COVER THE PART MAY BE MORE COST EFFECTIVE TO REPLACE THAN REPAIR.

THANKS
MIKE
